Card games that are easy to see

The Full Deck is a small collection of the classic card games, built for people who would rather not squint. The cards are large, the type is large, and you can make them larger still. Nothing is timed, nothing flashes, and you can undo as many moves as you like.

There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. Open a game and play. Your games are saved in your own browser, so you can close the page mid-deal and pick it up tomorrow — but no account is created and nothing that identifies you is sent anywhere.

Nothing here has to be downloaded or installed, and nothing on the page comes from another company — no advertisements, no trackers, nothing that follows you elsewhere. The only things kept are your own game and your own settings, in your own browser, and clearing your browser history removes them.

• Solitaire (Klondike) — Klondike is the game almost everyone means when they say solitaire — the one that came with every computer for thirty years.
• FreeCell — FreeCell deals every single card face up.
• Spider Solitaire — Spider is played with two decks across ten columns, and the goal is to build runs from King down to Ace.
• Pyramid Solitaire — Pyramid is quick and gentle: clear a pyramid of twenty-eight cards by pairing up any two that add to thirteen.
• Golf Solitaire — Golf is a fast one: clear seven columns onto a single pile by playing any card that is one higher or one lower than the card showing.
• TriPeaks Solitaire — TriPeaks spreads three overlapping peaks of cards and asks you to clear them one at a time, playing anything one higher or one lower than the card showing.
• Yukon Solitaire — Yukon looks like Klondike with no draw pile, and plays nothing like it.
• Forty Thieves Solitaire — Forty Thieves is the serious one: two full decks, ten columns, and cards that can only be built downwards in their own suit, one at a time.
• Aces Up Solitaire — Aces Up is small, quick and surprisingly stubborn.
• Canfield Solitaire — Canfield came out of the casinos, where you bought the deck and were paid per card you got home.

Is this site safe to use?

Yes, and it is worth saying how. There is nothing to download and nothing to install, so nothing can be put on your computer. The page is loaded only from us — no advertisements and nothing from any other company. You are never asked for an email address, a password or a payment, because there is no account to make. If a website has ever alarmed you with a warning about your computer, nothing on this page is able to do that.

Do I have to sign up?

No. There is no account, no email address and no password. Your finished games and your settings are remembered by your own browser, not by us.

Can I make the cards bigger?

Yes — open How to play inside any game and choose a card size. You can also switch to large-number card faces, change the colour of the table, and move the controls for left-handed play.

Does it work on a tablet or a phone?

Yes, and the cards are sized to whatever screen you are on. On a phone the games with ten columns are easier in landscape — turn the phone sideways and the cards get considerably bigger.

Can I play without a mouse?

Yes. Press Tab to put a cursor on the table, move it with the arrow keys, and press Enter to pick a card up and put it down. Press S to hear everything on the table read out. Every card and pile is named for screen readers.
